Friday's name that tune, win the giant virtual cookie

This guy was the king of bitter and sarcastic, until he got married and happy. Fucker.

Lyrics:
Don't tell me you don't know what love is
When you're old enough to know better
When you find strange hands in your sweater
When your dreamboat turns out to be a footnote
I'm a man with a mission in two or three editions

We clearly have the same things in our record collections...can I win the big cookie two weeks in a row, or would that be immodest?

I think you can win the virtual cookie two weeks in a row. It will teach those slackasses to be on the ball.

Modesty is only for people with nothing to brag about, by the way.

Then it's Elvis Costello, "Every Day I Write The Book."

EC in Cole Porter mode...

Elvis Costello's Katrina song "the river in reverse" is pretty angry. That guy's a songwriting machine. When everyone was stuck doing old material at the relief concerts Elvis Costello came up with this epic piece of social criticism just weeks after the flood.

Ben gets a cookie and Peter get brownie points for directing me to a song I didn't know about.
